Azerbaijan’s capital hosts international conference on struggle against illicit drug turnover - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font> - <font color=red>VIDEO</font>

The conference is expected to be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov, Department chief of the Presidential Administration on work with law-enforcement bodies Fuad Alasgarov, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Kunio Mikuriy, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Yury Fedotov.

Current state in relation to drugs, it influence on the region will be discussed, lectures on annual report of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime on 2010, the situation in the Middle East – role of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Center (CARICC) in fight against transnational drug crime, WCO’s annual report on 2010 will be listened at the conference.

Today, within the framework of the conference, an opening ceremony of the European regional office of the World Customs Organization in Baku, the International Competition of caricatures titled “Say no to drugs”, as well as a charity concert featuring world-renowned musical groups in Seaside National Park will be held too.

Last working day of the conference will focus on strengthening of regional and international cooperation in combating illicit drug trafficking.
