The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with the delegation headed by Lieutenant-General Alexander Kurenkov, the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, who is visiting Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The guests visited the Alley of Honor and paid tribute to Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijani people, the architect and founder of modern Azerbaijan, and laid wreaths and flowers in front of his grave.
At the meeting, a wide range of opinions were exchanged regarding the mutual interest.
Then a video about the "Baku-2023" international training organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan was shown.
At the end, the signing ceremony of the Joint Action Plan for 2024-2026 between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters was held. The document was signed by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, and the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Alexander Kurenkov.
Later, the guests got acquainted with the operation room of the Crisis Management Center of the Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Multi-media center of the Public Relations Department.
It should be noted that within the framework of the visit, the Russian Minister will also visit the Academy of Ministry of Emergency Situations, and get acquainted with the activities of the higher education institution.
