The leaders of Religious Confessions in Azerbaijan have addressed an appeal to the United States Department of State, the Caucasus Muslims' Board told APA.
"We - the members of the Advisory Council of leaders of religious Confessions operating in Azerbaijan, strongly condemn the decision of the State Department to put Azerbaijan on a "special watch list" for religious freedom in 2023, referring to the report of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), which is subjective. and we consider it a biased approach. The purpose of our protest statement is to express an objective position concerning the realities of Azerbaijan," reads the statement.
