A citizen of Pakistan engaged in kidnapping was detained in the territory of Azerbaijan, APA reports citing the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Pakistani citizen, born in 1992, Ullah Naeem Khan Navwab entered into a criminal relationship with others and made a deal in advance, tricking the citizen of Pakistan, Sheraz Muhammad Afzal Muhammad, into coming to the Republic of Azerbaijan under the guise of approving his visa to go to the Canadian stateç then took him to a rented house in Vandam settlement of Gabala district, kept them there with their arms and legs tied and demanded a large amount of money from his close relatives in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in exchange for her release.
The officers of the State Security Service detained Ullah Naeem Khan Nawab in the act of crime and released Sheraz Muhammad Afzal Muhammad.
A criminal case has been initiated against the arrested Ullah Naeem Khan Navwab and others under Articles 144.2.3 and 144.2.6 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (kidnapping for greed in the case of a group of persons who colluded in advance).
