Not only COP29, but also during other international events, there are many cyber attacks on Azerbaijan, Ilgar Musayev, head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
"Citizens don't see it. As a service, we cannot disclose all of this information. But these attacks are prevented. Sometimes we post this information quarterly in our newsletter. There are cyber attacks and threats against citizens and government institutions. Such attacks are also taking place in connection with COP29," he added.
He said that there were attempts of cyber attacks against Azerbaijan during the elections: "Cyber attacks were attempted during the Presidential and Parliamentary elections. We just can't reveal them all. But there is daily work on this. Disinformation is spread on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok. We prevent them by working together with those platforms."
