Muslim students are concerned about security in the West, Sameera Ahmed, the executive director of The Family and Youth Institute, a representative from the USA, said during a panel discussion at the international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024” held in Baku, APA reports.
She spoke about the situation of young people's isolation from society: "Muslims are continuously persecuted in Western countries. Unfortunately, the university's view of those young people is also a threat. And this isolates those young people from society."
The director stated that not only those Muslim youths but also society as a whole suffers from such cases: "As a result, students are forced to drop out of colleges and universities."
