The main goal is to stabilize the rates of decrease in production in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oil and gas field block within the framework of the prevention of the decrease in oil production in Azerbaijan, SOCAR Vice President Babek Huseynov said during the "Breaking Stereotypes: Forming Energy Solutions" panel organized as part of the Baku Energy Week, APA-Economics reports.
"Our first goal is to stabilize the rate of decline and then maintain it for some time," Babek Huseynov added.
According to him, after achieving the stated goals, SOCAR plans to focus on the development of new fields ("Garabagh" field - ed.).
