There are new appeals regarding cases of missing citizens during the Khojaly genocide, Ismayil Akhundov, secretary of the State Commission on Prisoners and Missing and Hostaged Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of the Working Group, told APA in an extensive interview.

He underlined that 6 of the 30 people registered as missing persons in the First Garabagh War in the current year are those who went missing during the Khojaly Genocide: "Until now, 196 people have been registered as missing persons in the Khojaly genocide at the State Commission. Currently, their number is 202. However, there are also new applications related to cases of disappearances during the Khojaly genocide. All applications are reviewed and investigated. It is not excluded that this number will increase." .
