Iran, Russia stress developing bilateral ties-UPDATED

During the meeting between Russian and Iranian security chiefs which was held in Moscow on Wednesday, the two sides discussed bilateral, regional, and international issues, APA reports citing IRNA.

They reviewed the relations in the field of security and defense, and the most important regional and international developments, including the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Patrushev condemned the recent deadly terror attack in Kerman and condoled with the Iranian government and people.

He referred to the Iran-Russia comprehensive cooperation agreement, saying that the agreement would pave the way for strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Today Moscow-Tehran relations are being increased to a new level in all fields, he stated.

Ali Akbar Ahmadian has traveled to Moscow at the invitation of Nikolay Patrushev, the Secretary of the Russian National Security Council in order to boost bilateral relations, APA reports citing Mehr News.

In addition to meeting with his Russian counterpart, the top Iranian security official is scheduled to meet with some high-ranking Russian officials and discuss the development and expansion of bilateral relations and international cooperation.

Kazem Jalali, Iran's ambassador to Moscow, welcomed Ahmadian upon his arrival at the Vonukova International Airport on Tuesday evening.
