Azerbaijan invested $482.1 million in Georgia in 2017, down 13.6% from previous year.
According to National Statistics Office of Georgia, despite the decline, Azerbaijan was number one investor of Georgia.
Azerbaijan’s investments made up 25.9% of total investments in Georgia.
Total direct investments made in Georgia’s economy in 2017 amounted to $1,861,900,000, up 16.2% from previous year.
Azerbaijan is followed by Turkey ($279 milion), Great Britain ($250.4 million), the Netherlands ($224.3 million) and Czech Republic ($133.8 million).
