Putin, Pashinyan agreed upon undeployment of Russian militaries from posts on border with Azerbaijan besides Zvartnots airport -UPDATED

The reports of an agreement on end of service of Russian militaries at Zvartnots Airport and in the border areas with Azerbaijan has been confirmed, Hayk Konjoryan, head of the Civil Contract faction in the Armenian Parliament posted on his Facebook account, APA reports.

“In accordance with the agreement reached, border troops and military posts of Russia located in Tavush, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, Ararat marze during and after the 44-day war, will cease to operate and withdraw from those posts. The agreement to suspend the activities of the Russian border guards at the Zvartnots airport was also approved at the highest level,” – Armenian official said.

Note that Russian border guards as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan later announced, created new bases in Tavush and Syunik without a mandate or agreement after the 44-day war.

An agreement has been reached at the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on end of service of Russian militaries at Zvartnots Airport from now, according to some Telegram channels of Armenia, APA reports.

It has been noted that negotiations between Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin have successfully ended.

Additionally, Russian militaries will leave posts in Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, Ararat, Tavush Provinces, where they deployed after the 44-day war.
