President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has accepted credentials of newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador Germán Alejandro Ortega Almeida.

Germán Alejandro Ortega Almeida presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev then spoke with the ambassador.
They hailed the good level of Azerbaijan-Ecuador political relations and emphasized the importance of developing bilateral and multilateral relations. They pointed to good opportunities to develop economic relations in a variety of fields, including in import and export ones.
