Representatives of Nizami Ganjavi International Center meet with Bill Clinton

Baku – APA. The delegation of Nizami Ganjavi International Center continues meetings with the US and world influential politicians, businessmen and government officials in New York.

The delegation met with former US President Bill Clinton, candidate for the UN Secretary General and UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, European Commission Vice President Kristalina Georgieva and former head of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, the State Committee for Work with Diaspora told APA on Thursday.

During these meetings, representatives of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center gave information about the activities of the center, international organizations and governments it is cooperating with, purposes and importance of the projects it is implementing.

They exchanged views on the 5th Global Baku Forum to be held in 2017 and the issues included in the agenda of the forum. They underlined the importance of the Global Baku Forum. They said the forum is a good opportunity for discussion of the developments in the international arena by the world’s well-known politicians and leading expert and it is of particular importance in terms of enhancement of international cooperation.

The delegation of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, being on a visit to New York, includes former president of Serbia Boris Tadić, former Bulgarian president Petar Stoyanov, chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, former prime minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdžija, former first lady of Ukraine Kateryna Yushchenko and secretary general of the Center Rovshan Muradov.
