Khadija Ismayilova arrested

Khadija Ismayilova has been called to the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office today, APA reports.

She was questioned regarding the criminal case launched over the fact of Tural Mustafayev, a former employee of Radio Azadliq and Meydan TV, making a suicide attempt.

The Prosecutor’s Office gave a presentation to the Sabail District Court on sentencing Khadija Ismayilova to pre-trial detention.

The court reviewed the presentation and passed a verdict putting Khadija Ismayilova in pre-trial detention for two months.

Lawyer Elton Guliyev told APA that Khadija Ismayilova is facing charges under the Criminal Code’s article #125 (bringing to suicide).

Note that, on October 21 in National Seaside Park, Tural Mustafayev swallowed a rat poison for the purpose of suicide. He was hospitalized in critical condition.
