About 70 rare manuscripts of Mahsati Ganjavi to be brought to Azerbaijan from foreign countries next week

About 70 rare manuscripts of Mahsati Ganjavi kept in different libraries of the world will be brought to Azerbaijan next week, deputy director for scientific affairs at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Ganja Scientific Center Samir Pishnamazzade told APA. He said about 70 miniatures, illustrations and quatrains of Mahsati Ganjavi kept in Egypt's Library of Alexandria, Metropolitan Museum of Art and Yale University in the United States will be brought by Nizami Ganjavi International Center. Manuscripts date back to the 14th – 15th centuries.

Pishnamazzade said that about 100 illustrations of Mahsati Ganjavi are being kept in various libraries of the world. 6 monographies dedicated to Mahsati Ganjavi by famous English researcher Paul Smith have also been brought to the country on her 900th anniversary. Currently they are being translated.
