"The biggest problem with scientific research work at universities is related to per capita funding," Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev said at the VI International Scientific Conference of Economics and Management Researchers (ISCEMR-2024), APA reports.
He stated that Azerbaijani institutions of higher education can be considered relatively young in a certain sense: "For a while, they were mainly engaged in personnel training. During educational reforms, the change of some institutions' names to academies, institutes, etc., is not coincidental. As the Ministry of Science and Education, stimulating scientific research is important to us. Currently, the biggest problem in scientific research at universities is related to funding per capita."
