The Russia-Türkiye Joint Monitoring Center operated as a complex with 65 service areas on a 4-hectare land in order to ensure and protect the ceasefire between the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, said the Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces of the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye, Lieutenant General Levent Ergün at the solemn ceremony of Russia-Türkiye Joint Monitoring Center located in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam, APA reports.

“Throughout the activity of the Joint Monitoring Center, members of the Center have operated under difficult conditions while maintaining the principles of goodwill and mutual respect, ensuring the ceasefire principle until the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is fully secured. As a result, the determination of the two countries for peace and tranquility has been closely monitored by the global community with high appreciation. The joint activities of Turkish and Russian soldiers over 3 years and 3 months, including celebrations, cultural and social exchanges, and language courses, have further strengthened the mutual bonds between the two countries. In this regard, I express my gratitude to the leadership team serving in the Joint Monitoring Center, as well as to all soldiers of the Russian Federation. Additionally, I extend my thanks to the leadership team and soldiers of the Azerbaijani Army, our friendly and fraternal ally, who have spared no assistance to us in all matters throughout the service of the Joint Monitoring Center,” said Mr. Ergün.
