US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby paid a visit to Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli, the U.S. Embassy posted on its Facebook page, APA reports.
“We were deeply moved seeing the extent of destruction but also the reconstruction efforts in Fuzuli.
The United States has contributed more than $1.5 billion to Azerbaijan since its independence through USAID - US Agency for International Development, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, and many other agencies and international organizations, including more than $250 million specifically to helping IDP communities and more than $38 million in demining support. We remain committed to providing this assistance.” — Ambassador Libby added.
