A regional artificial intelligence infrastructure will be established in Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samaddin Asadov said during a public hearing of the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis on the topic “Application of artificial intelligence in agriculture: results and prospects”, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that a supercomputer center based on Nvidia graphics chipsets is already operating in the country and provides services to government agencies and the private sector for the development and use of artificial intelligence models.
Samaddin Asadov added that the infrastructure will be expanded in the future, and cooperation with leading companies such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure is being discussed. The goal is to turn Azerbaijan into a regional hub in the field of artificial intelligence and infrastructure.
