The next court hearing has been held in the criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS) regarding Abdulla Aliyev, who is accused of preparing for terrorism in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Today, witnesses were heard during the trial held at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, presided over by Judge Aygun Gurbanova.
Witness statements
Since witness R.R. (conditional initial) is 15 years old, he gave his testimony together with his legal representative. He stated that he does not know Abdulla Aliyev and added that an unknown person contacted him through a social network and tried to involve him in this matter: “They messaged me on TikTok and tried to get me to talk about my religious orientation. Later, I spoke with Abdulla. I did not get involved in these matters. I witnessed them talking about an attack on a synagogue, but I never joined them.”
Witness X.P. stated that he worked as a utility worker (“jek” employee) in the “Winter Park” area and saw Abdulla being detained near that location: “Abdulla was detained while he was in the car. I saw a knife, an axe, gasoline, and other items in the car. When the scene was being filmed, Abdulla said that the items found belonged to him.”
Document research
The case then moved to the stage of document examination.
In the continuation of the trial, Abdulla Aliyev, answering his lawyer's questions, stated that he was a member of the Islamic society known as "Ahli-Sunna wal-Jamaat." In one of his conversations, he said that he wanted to kill Jews: "I said that I would easily kill a Jew over the Palestinian issue. It is true that, there was talk of a Molotov cocktail. I feel guilty because Azerbaijan is a tolerant country and I should have respected all religions."
The presiding judge asked him if he had the opportunity, whether he would commit this act. After thinking, Abdulla Aliyev stated that he could not.
Conclusion of the court investigation
It was then announced that the court investigation had concluded.
The defendant’s lawyer requested time to speak.
The next hearing was scheduled for October 27.

According to available information, he was detained by officers of the State Security Service (SSS) while preparing to attack a Jewish synagogue in Baku with a Molotov cocktail.
The indictment states that 18-year-old Abdulla Aliyev, a resident of Sumgayit and linked to the terrorist organization “ISIS-Khorasan,” was preparing to carry out a terrorist act against the “Mountain Jews Synagogue of Baku.”
It has been reported that Abdulla Aliyev pledged allegiance to the terrorist leader known as "Abu Radd" and began engaging in terrorist activities. Specifically, on December 28, 2024, he approached the Jewish synagogue located on Alimardan Bey Topchubashov Street in Nasimi district of Baku city, driving a "KIA" vehicle. He attempted to enter the synagogue with three "Molotov cocktails" and other weapons taken out of his car. However, State Security Service (DTX) officers stopped him before he could carry out the act.
During the operation, 1 axe, 2 knives, and incendiary-explosive devices were found and seized from Abdulla Aliyev and his vehicle. On his mobile phone, a group named "KHALIFATUL MUSLIMUN" created via the "SimpleX" instant messaging application was discovered. It was also determined that the accused was in contact with and receiving instructions from one of the leaders of "ISIS Khorasan."
