Three joint projects were inaugurated today under the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, while the implementation of eight more initiatives was launched, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said in a press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, APA's correspondent dispatched to Kyrgyzstan reports.
The Kyrgyz President said that during the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, they expressed satisfaction with the steady development of trade and economic cooperation and the continued growth in bilateral trade turnover.
"We agreed to continue creating favorable conditions for expanding business ties and implementing joint investment projects.
Today, three joint projects were inaugurated under the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, and the implementation of eight more initiatives was launched.
We paid particular attention to the efficient use of our countries' transit potential and the development of transport corridors.
We noted Azerbaijan's important role as one of the key links in the Middle Corridor connecting Central Asia with Europe.
We also discussed promising areas of cooperation in the energy sector and the possibilities for implementing joint projects.
Today, the official opening ceremony of the first five-star hotel built by the Azerbaijani side on the lakeshore will also take place. I am confident that this project will become another symbol of the strong friendship between our peoples and make a significant contribution to the development of tourism potential," Sadyr Zhaparov said.
