Slovak PM leaves for Azerbaijan

Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, is coming to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Prime Minister Robert Fico has already left for Baku.

On May 7, the Prime Minister will meet with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan to discuss deepening bilateral relations.

The meeting will also discuss the possibilities of importing Azerbaijani gas to Slovakia.

The Prime Minister of Slovakia and the President of Azerbaijan will sign a declaration on strategic partnership between the Slovak Republic and Azerbaijan," stated the Slovak government cabinet's press department.

Additionally, an agreement on cooperation in the defense industry will be signed between the defense ministers of Slovakia and Azerbaijan.

During the visit, Prime Minister Robert Fico is accompanied by a group of businessmen. They will conduct discussions on cooperation between Slovakia and Azerbaijani business circles.

It is noted that this is Fico's first foreign trip outside the EU, with the aim of supporting the Slovak economy and developing bilateral relations with countries with high economic potential.

The Slovak delegation also includes Economy Minister Denisa Sakova, Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar, and Defense Minister Robert Kalinak.
