Russia presents a document regarding cooperation in the "3+3" format

The Russian side, as an organizing country, has presented a document on cooperation within the "3+3" format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Russia, Türkiye), Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a briefing on the outcomes of the meeting of the heads of foreign affairs of the "3+3" regional platform on South Caucasus held in Tehran, APA reports.

According to him, the presented document reflects Russia's view on the perspectives of cooperation in the "3+3" format in economic, energy, trade, transportation, information technology, natural resources, humanitarian, cultural, education, and tourism fields.

"In all of these directions, an agreement has been reached today. The parties have agreed that each participating country will appoint a special representative. These representatives will develop national ideas in the directions I mentioned. Later, these will be coordinated with our Turkish colleagues, who will host meetings in the format of second ministers."

Lavrov also mentioned that the next meeting of foreign ministers in the "3+3" format will be hosted by Türkiye in the first half of the upcoming year.

"The specific outcomes and agreements reached in today's meeting will be announced by the Iranian Foreign Minister," added the Russian Foreign Minister.
