The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, APA reports.
Effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar in international organizations and platforms, especially within the framework of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and the UN was noted.
The Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, also informed the other side about the threats that Armenia and its so-called regime established in Azerbaijan, against regional peace and security for nearly 30 years and highlighted the reasons that led to local anti-terrorist measures implemented by Azerbaijan in its sovereign territory in full accordance with international humanitarian law. In this regard, the hope was expressed that ending the presence of illegal Armenian armed forces, which is the main threat in the region, will serve to peace and stability in the region.
The Qatari side emphasized that Qatar is interested in comprehensive cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The parties also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
