Permanent representative of the Republic of Tatarstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Murad Gadylshin was interviewed by APA TV.
We present the interview:
- What can you say about conducted measures within the framework of the protocol signed after meeting of the Third Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan in April of last year? Which works have been done in this direction over the period?
- Immediately after the traditional Summit in Kazan, an agreement was signed between Sollers Company and “Azermash” LLC on collection of light commercial vehicles in Neftchala Industrial District. At the same time, I think relations between Tatneft and SOCAR have been significantly developed, mutual visits of delegations have already been observed. They signed a roadmap.
In addition, I can say Tatspirtprom Company is expected to return to Azerbaijan soon.
We have also reached an agreement on organization of Tatarstan Cultural Days and I think the first event will be held in autumn of this year.
- Head of the Republic of Tatarstan visited Azerbaijan, as well as Zangilan in June of last year. In which infrastructure projects is the Tatarstan Republic interested in liberated territories after the visit?
- While speaking about our works in liberated lands, I would like to note that we suggest new technologies to clean water now. So they are portable.
We have been cooperating with Azerishig for several years in field of digital transformation of electric network distributors.
- What kinds of works have been done in direction of strengthening partnership in sports, social, and tourism fields?
- In recent days, Rector of Tatarstan Sports Academy visited Azerbaijan. As you know, Tatarstan hosted “Future Games” recently. Azerbaijan was represented there with three teams and performed well.
As for tourism, Gabala, Naftalan, shores of the Caspian Sea are more famous places for Tatarstan. We participate all tourism events in Baku.
- Could you speak about development prospects of cooperation between our countries in industrial zones fields? How is condition in “Araz Valley Economic Zone” Industrial Park?
- We have presented to the Azerbaijani side a project of electric buses. Now Moscow is using electric buses instead of trolleybuses. We talk about a large project covering about 5000-5500 electric buses. If the agreement is signed, it will be a significant contribution to ecology, economic cooperation, as well as creation of new jobs in Ganja city.
If we look at trade turnover over the two years, the figure was USD 75 million, but we raise it to USD 120 million.
