Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso, APA reports.
During the meeting, Ali Asadov emphasized that Azerbaijan pays special importance to developing relations with African states. He noted that Azerbaijan cooperates with the Congo within the Non-Aligned Movement and other international institutions.
The Prime Minister underscored Azerbaijan’s efforts during its chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement, particularly in responding promptly and effectively to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and institutionalizing the organization.
The sides explored opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Congo across various sectors, including trade, economics, agriculture, education, oil industry, and environment.
They also discussed issues related to the implementation of bilateral documents signed during the visit.
