“We are children of the same nation. Our past, our identity, our culture, our history are the same,” said Ersin Tatar, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) during his speech at Azerbaijan's ADA University, APA reports.
He noted that despite all the international difficulties, Türkiye has always shown its support to both the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan.
“Actually, my visit here is not an easy task. Because the whole world, especially the European Union, is calculating how to bring the Turkish Cypriots to their knees, how to take our breath away.
However, by being accepted as an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States and, inshallah, with the support of Azerbaijan, we will bring the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to a completely different position by developing economic and political relations".
