"The Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict has been largely resolved, Garabagh belongs to Azerbaijan," said Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, in his statement on the outcomes of the meeting of foreign ministers in the "3+3" format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Russia, Türkiye) in Tehran, APA reports.
According to him, Yerevan has a positive approach towards the "3+3" format: "This has been the main unresolved issue. Of course, now practical steps need to be taken towards the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. First and foremost, the preparation of a peace agreement, delimitation of borders, and the establishment of transportation and economic relations without any obstacles remain. The normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations regarding these aspects is not directly discussed in the "3+3" format. As agreed by the parties, there are separate channels for this. Russia plays a facilitating role in all of these processes. However, the "3+3" platform, in and of itself, objectively assists in resolving the issues between Baku and Yerevan, just like other additional platforms in which Azerbaijan and Armenia participate."
