“Azerbaijan is a country where every person feels free and happy, and where everyone is treated with respect. Here, I have not only witnessed a high level of diplomacy, but also a true example of humanism," Israel’s newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ronen Kraus said during his speech at the “Azerbaijani House” in the city of Acre, which belongs to the Coordination Center of Mountain Jews, APA reports.
Ambassador Kraus recalled his time serving as an advisor at the embassy in Baku back in 2011.
The diplomat expressed confidence that relations between the two countries would continue to develop further day by day.
It was also emphasized during the event that Azerbaijan is the second safest and most comfortable country for Jews to live in, after Israel.
Speakers expressed hope that a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia would be signed soon. At the same time, official Yerevan's actions, which harm the entire region, were condemned.
Afterward, the ambassador toured the building where the “Azerbaijani House” is located.
The meeting concluded with a commemorative photo.
