Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyyed Abbas Mousavi met with the newly appointed head of the political department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Akram Zeynalli, the Iranian embassy in Baku said, APA reports.
Recent events in bilateral relations were reviewed during the meeting.
The existing cooperation and communication process between the two countries in various fields was positively evaluated.
It was noted that a new stage has begun in the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Efforts to achieve sustainable peace in region, communication and transport corridors, and consular issues were the topics of the meeting.
