Iran to host 3+3 format meeting at the level of FMs soon, Armenia speaking from several positions at the same time becomes tradition

A meeting at the level of foreign ministers will soon be held in Iran in the 3+3 format (Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Russia, Iran, Armenia, Georgia), APA reports.

Armenia also agreed to participate in the meeting.

The fact that the meeting took place in the 3+3 format and Armenia agreed to participate in this meeting can be considered a positive thing. But another side of the issue is noteworthy.

Speaking from several positions is becoming a tradition of Armenia. For a long time now, we have been observing this situation in the example of Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of Armenia.

A few days ago, Pashinyan went to Strasbourg and used his traditional rhetoric to be ‘hailed’ in the European Parliament. Afterward, he agreed to attend the meeting held in Iran. The essence of the 3+3 format is the approach of "resolving regional problems in the region". The fact that Nikol Pashinyan agreed to participate in the meeting in Iran means that he accepted this approach.

Then “if Pashinyan accepts this approach, why does he stubbornly call Strasbourg, Brussels, and Paris to intervene in the region?” question arises.

Let's remind that the initiator of the 3+3 format is Azerbaijan. Until now, the failure of the meeting in this format was due to the coldness and tension in Azerbaijan's relations with Iran. Now the coldness is left behind and nothing prevents the holding of meeting anymore.

As mentioned, Armenia has already agreed to participate in the meeting in this format. This format can serve as a successful platform in terms of addressing regional problems and further development of relations between the regional countries. If the US and Europe continue their deeds against Azerbaijan, the 3+3 format will become stronger and the principle of "the solution of regional problems lies in the region" will be further strengthened.

Apart from that, if the US and Europe continue their biased and hypocritical policy against Azerbaijan without accepting today's reality, the West may be cut off from the South Caucasus once and for all. In any case, Western circles should assess the situation correctly and not continue the strategic mistakes they made.

And Armenia should gather its wits and finally understand that the problems should be addressed not with false applauses and populism in the European Parliament, in Strasbourg but in the region itself.
