"For four centuries, Guadeloupe has lived under French colonialism, and the people of Guadeloupe now want their freedom," former member of the European Parliament, secretary general of the Guadeloupe Freedom Movement Jean-Jacob Bicep said at the international conference themed "Neocolonialism: Violation of Human Rights and Injustice" organized by the Baku Initiative Group, APA reports.
“We face all kinds of injustice, our lands and resources are in the hands of the French. Representatives of the generation of French colonialism control the large lands of our country. Our situation is similar to that of countries in Africa, which are also struggling to own their resources," he added.
