Committee Chair: Azerbaijan-Georgia relations now more important for regional peace

“The importance of cordial relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan is now more crucial,” Mikheil Sarjveladze, Chairperson of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament told APA’s Tbilisi correspondent.

He stressed that Georgia will continue to support the peace process in the region.

“The significance of cordial relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan is now more important. We want peace and stability in the whole region. Cooperation, effective coordination and communication between our countries have great importance. In this regard, we highly appreciate the visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Georgia. Of course, we want to see the best cooperation between our countries. Peace is of vital importance in the present period. We are aware of the situation in the world. Therefore, it is our duty to support the peace process in the region,” the Committee Chair noted.
