On October 24, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, APA reports citing the Ministry.
During the telephone conversation, the ministers discussed the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, the prospects of the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, the current situation in the region, the results of the ministerial meeting of the "3+3" regional platform held in Tehran, the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caspian countries scheduled to be held in Moscow in December this year they exchanged views on the issues on the agenda of the held meeting.
During the telephone conversation, it was emphasized that there are real chances for the establishment of lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the importance of not missing the historic opportunity that has arisen in the region.
During the phone conversation, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
