On October 27, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, gave an interview to Anadolu Agency, one of Türkiye's leading media organizations, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.
In an interview conducted within the framework of the Anadolu Agency's Türkiye Republic's 100th Anniversary project, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed his sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. He emphasized that the mentioned date is not only significant for Türkiye but also serves as a very important historical and source of pride for the entire Turkic world.
He noted that Türkiye, today, demonstrates its leadership to the whole world in various directions, increasing the number of strategic partners at the international level. Despite facing explicit external threats at certain stages of the country's history, Türkiye takes pride in overcoming all these difficulties.
He emphasized that Brother Türkiye is recognized and respected by the leading power centers in the world as one of the rare countries. Today, it implements a successful mediation policy on an international scale.
In his interview, Minister Ceyhun Bayramov shared his thoughts on the rapidly developing Azerbaijan-Türkiye alliance in recent years, based on the Shusha Declaration. He warmly recalled that Türkiye was the first country to recognize our country's independence, and he touched upon the existing historical, cultural, national, and religious ties with the brotherly country.
Minister Ceyhun Bayramov, referencing the motto "One nation, two states" by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's statement "The joy of Azerbaijan is our joy, its sorrow is our sorrow," highlighted that the relations that have elevated from a strategic partnership to an alliance level are based on the will of our peoples, the brotherhood relations between our leaders. He particularly emphasized that Türkiye's political and moral support consistently strengthens our power.
In the interview, the minister, emphasizing the importance of the Shusha Declaration, characterized the document as a roadmap for activities in all directions between the two countries. He also discussed significant transportation projects that have been implemented in this regard and touched upon the existing prospects for cooperation.
Furthermore, in his interview, Minister Ceyhun Bayramov touched upon the issue of mutual support between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, highlighting the active role of our countries within the framework of the Turkic States Organization and the expansion of our cooperation in trilateral and quadrilateral cooperation platforms.
He expressed confidence that the implementation of the Shusha Declaration will further expand the existing opportunities.
