Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the country Thomas Stehli, the ministry told APA.
Thomas Stehli presented the copy of his credentials to FM Bayramov. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic activities.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the agenda of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland, which includes political, economic, trade and a number of other areas, as well as issues of cooperation within international organizations, and the current regional situation.
The importance of reciprocal high-level visits, and holding political dialogue and political consultations between the two countries was emphasized.
The sides also exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
