“Today, we are glad to be in our Homeland, Azerbaijan,” Foreign Affairs Deputy Chairman of Justice and Development Party (AK Parti), member of Parliament Zafer Sirakaya said in a press conference jointly held with Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Head of the Central Office Tahir Budagov, APA reports.
AK Parti Deputy Chairman noted that he will attend and deliver a speech at an international conference organized by the Western Azerbaijan Community tomorrow: “The Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations have no equal in the world. As Mustafa Kamal stated, Azerbaijan's sorrow is our sorrow, its joy is our joy, as Haydar Aliyev said, Türkiye and Azerbaijan are one nation, two states. At the same time, the Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations play an important role in Turkic World coming together.”
Zafer Sirakaya expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan for the assistance provided during the earthquake in Türkiye.
He congratulated Azerbaijan on the occasion of its Victory once again: “Azerbaijan has fully restored its sovereignty with the anti-terrorist operation. We are proud that the Azerbaijani flag is now flying in Khojaly as well. Türkiye always stands by Azerbaijan and will always continue to do so."
