Remarks made by the Lead spokesperson for the external affairs of the European Union Peter Stano on Azerbaijan on November 17, 2023, in his interview with Armenpress news agency is another indication of the biased approach of the representative of the European Union, said Aykhan Hajizada, Spokesperson of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in his commentary on these remarks, APA reports.
"It is regrettable that the representative of the European Union ignores the fact that Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity have been violated by the invading and aggressor Armenia for 30 years, ethnic cleansing policy has been carried out against Azerbaijanis, and more than 1 million Azerbaijanis have been forcibly displaced and refugees.
We consider the EU representative's statement on the initiative to create an international mechanism for the rights and security of Armenian residents regarding the migration of Armenian residents living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan to Armenia based on their personal decisions as an interference in the reintegration process of Azerbaijan. Garabagh is an integral part of Azerbaijan, the rights and security of the Armenian population living in this region will be ensured in accordance with the Constitution of Azerbaijan" said Aykhan Hajizada.
