Today, within the framework of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s 23rd Autumn Session held in Istanbul, a bilateral meeting took place between the parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
The meeting was held based on the agreement reached during the discussions between the speakers of the Azerbaijani and Armenian parliaments on October 21, 2025, in Geneva.
At the meeting, the positive role of the Washington Summit was noted, and an exchange of views took place regarding the agreements reached and the next steps taken to strengthen peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the importance of the support of both countries’ parliaments for this process.
During the conversation, the role of the parliaments in implementing confidence-building measures between the two countries was addressed, and the importance of constructive dialogue among members of parliament within international organizations was emphasized.
