The meeting between the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, and the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, has concluded in Geneva, APA reports.
The meeting took place within the framework of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis told APA that a bilateral meeting of the Chairs of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan and Armenia took place within the framework of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva on 21 October 2025.
During the discussions held, the Speakers welcomed the agreements achieved at the Washington Summit and the measures implemented on the normalization of the relations.
The Speakers underlined the importance of continuing the constructive dialogue and expressed preparedness to support on the parliamentary level the implementation of measures to strengthen trust.
