There is an agreement on increasing the number of members of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia, said Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, while commenting on the decision of the Council of Foreign Relations of EU to enlarge the border monitoring mission stationed in Armenia, APA reports.
Hovhannisyan emphasized that the enlargement of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) has been discussed for a long time.
"There is a decision to increase the number of observers and strengthen their capacity, which will allow us to do more active work on monitoring, to submit appropriate reports to Brussels and member states, and to further strengthen stability on our borders," Hovhannisyan noted.
