Ambassador of the Czech Republic: I appreciate the current processes and stabilization in Garabagh

The National Day of the Czech Republic was celebrated in Baku, APA reports.

Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Sedlaček delivered a speech at the event.

The diplomat said that new threats and difficulties have appeared in the changing global world. "Looking at the current global situation, the global COVID-19 pandemic, the situation in Ukraine, and the crisis in Israel are just a few examples among the primary forces contributing to the ongoing conflicts and instability in our world. Technological progress and globalization are further accelerating the fluidity and evolving dynamics of social relations."

In his speech, the diplomat touched upon a similar point between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic: "Taking into account our shared history, particularly the loss, occupation, and subsequent return of our sovereign territories with Azerbaijan, I evaluate the current processes and stabilization occurring in Garabagh. Unlike some politicians, I can witness the events and processes on the ground.

I desire peace, security, and prosperity for both the Azerbaijani and Czech peoples."

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Fariz Rzayev, participated in the event. The Azerbaijani diplomat said in his official speech that this year the two countries are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

"Our relations are built on mutual respect and esteem. There is an ongoing and consistent political dialogue between the two countries, and our connections are expanding in various fields. Through our joint efforts, I hope that our strategic relations will continue to grow," the Deputy Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said.
