A unified InsurTech ecosystem could be established among Turkic states, said Özgür Obalı, Secretary General of the Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB), during the Turkic States InsurTech Summit, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the initiative aims to ensure a shared technological infrastructure, data exchange system, and harmonization of standards in the insurance sector. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to regulate KYC (Know Your Customer), electronic signatures, cloud technologies, and Open Insurance principles under a unified framework.
Özgür Obalı noted that it is proposed to enhance coordination and regulatory alignment in this field through the “Turkic World Insurance Union” platform. In addition, strengthening the startup and investment environment, as well as creating joint funds and pilot projects (PoC), are also part of the initiative.
The TSB Secretary General emphasized that although this cooperation is still at the conceptual stage, in the future it could serve as a key platform for joint digital transformation and innovation development within the insurance markets of the Turkic states.
