The volume of foreign direct investments entering the Azerbaijani economy in January-June 2025 amounted to approximately 3.2 billion US dollars, said Samir Nasirov, Head of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, in the first half of the current year, Azerbaijan's investments in foreign economies amounted to 3.4 billion US dollars.
S. Nasirov said that in the first half of the year, the countries that invested the most in the Azerbaijani economy were Great Britain (806 million US dollars), Türkiye (629 million US dollars), Cyprus (353 million US dollars), Switzerland (226 million US dollars) and Iran (176 million US dollars).
In return, Azerbaijan invested a total of 1.349 billion US dollars in the first six months of 2025.
The largest investments from Azerbaijan were made by Israel ($542 million), Türkiye ($177 million), the UAE ($156 million), Georgia ($77 million), and the United States ($77 million).
