The Azerbaijani national taekwondo team has secured 2nd place in the European Championship for Olympic weight classes held in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, in terms of medal achievements, APA reports.
With a total of 1 gold and 2 silver medals, the Azerbaijani national teams clinched second place among the male teams. While Ukraine secured the top position, Germany secured the "triple".
In the overall team rankings, the Azerbaijani contingent also holds a prominent position among Europe's strongest. The successful performance of our taekwondo athletes resulted in our team taking the 3rd place. Serbia and Ukraine claimed the first two positions.
