Security measures have been tightened in the center of Tbilisi, APA's Georgia bureau reports.
Police forces have been deployed near the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue and in the surrounding areas.
A protest rally of opposition forces will be held in front of the parliament building at 4:00 today. The organizers of the action are opposition parties that boycotted the local elections held today.
The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that in connection with the rally, police forces have been mobilized to various locations in Tbilisi in order to maintain public safety and order.
The MIA called on the organizers and participants of the rally to hold the action within the framework established by Georgian legislation, to obey the lawful demands of police officers and not to obstruct the performance of their official duties.
It was emphasized that the police will give an appropriate legal response to each violation of the law.
