Long-term contracts and strong support are needed to increase gas exports, says Azerbaijan's Energy Minister

Negotiations in the direction of increasing the export of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe are not going that well, Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan said during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum held as part of the Baku Energy Week, APA reports.

According to the minister, long-term contracts and strong support are needed to increase the volume of exported gas.

He underscored that despite these, the negotiations in the mentioned direction are not going as well as expected.

The minister also added that currently, work is ongoing between Azerbaijan and Europe in the field of green energy: "We believe that the negotiations in this direction will be successful."
