As the global situation becomes increasingly complex, the importance of cooperation between countries and regions continues to grow, Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov said during his speech at the Azerbaijan-Laos Investment and Business Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, strengthening Azerbaijan's bilateral cooperation with Laos will also contribute to interaction between the two countries in multilateral formats:
"Our hosting of major international events demonstrates Azerbaijan's commitment to multilateral cooperation and sustainable development. Azerbaijan's political and macroeconomic stability ensures investors' long-term confidence in our country. Fitch and Moody's rating agencies have upgraded Azerbaijan's sovereign credit rating to investment grade. Our country is also recognized as a reliable partner that remains committed to its obligations."
The deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan is investing in human capital and prioritizing the digitalization of the economy and the development of artificial intelligence:
"Azerbaijan's Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is part of the World Economic Forum's network. These advantages, along with our country's economic potential and clear development strategy, contribute to the growing confidence of international investors in Azerbaijan. It is no coincidence that companies managing assets with a total value exceeding $30 trillion participated in the second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held last month."
