About 22,000 voters were registered in the liberated areas. 3700 of these voters moved to those areas for permanent residence, Niyaz Aliyev, deputy head of the Department of Territorial and Organizational Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan (PA), told journalists, APA reports.
Niyaz Aliyev said that according to the instructions of the head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, they are in the territories liberated from occupation and are studying the state of preparation for the elections in these territories: "26 polling stations have been organized in the liberated territories. About 22,000 voters were registered in these polling stations. 3700 of these voters moved to those areas for permanent residence. More than 18,000 people are citizens working in construction work."
He added that together with the representatives of the Central Election Commission, the polling stations in the liberated territories are being monitored: "The material and technical supply issues of all the polling stations have been resolved. Polling stations are provided with reliable communication and uninterrupted electricity. We can say with certainty that all conditions have been created for the citizens of Azerbaijan to vote comfortably in the territories freed from occupation as well as throughout the country. Elections will be held in a free, democratic and transparent manner."
Niyaz Aliyev noted that 6,319 polling stations have already been fully prepared for elections, and webcams have been installed in 1,000 polling stations.
