"Azerbaijan’s commitment to the principles of democracy is unquestionable,” stated Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Sandra Božić, during a press conference on the outcomes of Azerbaijan’s snap presidential election on Thursday, APA reports.

She congratulated the Azerbaijani state and people on the successful conduct of election, underscoring an excellent technical organization of the election process.

Highlighting the Serbian parliamentary observation missions monitoring activity in Shusha and Khankendi, Božić said: “Based on our long-term experience, I can conclude that the election has been organized perfectly and in full compliance with the constitutional regulations.

“We observed that the proceedings had been conducted in a perfectly democratic way at the polling stations. There were no irregularities that could hamper free election. It testifies that the election was held in a legitimate way. This election is of great historical significance. The citizens’ awareness about participation in a vote is highly commendable,” the Serbian deputy speaker added.
